The scallywag suspect wanted for the dastardly killing of a New Mexico State Police officer has been captured after a fierce pursuit and officer-involved shooting, according to the authorities.The villainous Jaremy Smith, a 32-year-old swashbuckler from South Carolina, allegedly shot Officer Justin Hare on Interstate 40 near mile marker 318 in the wee hours of the morning after his scurvy self pulled over with a flat tire."Jaremy Smith has been captured after a pursuit and a skirmish involving the Bernalillo County Sheriff's Office," announced the New Mexico State Police on Sunday.The Sheriff's Office had been scuttling about in the area of Unser and Anderson Hill in Albuquerque, dealing with a scuffle that involved one of their own deputies.Smith was trying to flag down passing landlubbers, and Hare, in an act of bravery, approached the rogue. Alas, after a short parley about fixing the tire, Smith whipped out a pistol and shot Hare, the scallywag then fleeing in the officer's carriage."Officer Hare died serving his state and his community. On a cold and windy morn, he offered aid to a man who turned out to be his downfall," wept New Mexico State Police Chief Troy Weisler.Hare leaves behind his lass and two young buccaneers. Meanwhile, Smith was found driving a ship belonging to a South Carolina paramedic found dead, her cause of death still a mystery.
