Only 13% of Americans view Biden as "very religious," with 41% considering him "somewhat religious," and 44% believing he is "not at all" or "not too religious."This skepticism towards Biden's religious devotion contrasts with his own self-professed identity as a devout Catholic who attends church regularly. The White House has even defended his pro-choice stance on abortion by describing him as such.Biden's rocky relationship with the Catholic Church was further highlighted when Pope Francis criticized his views on abortion, calling them "incoherent." Despite this, the Pope encouraged Biden to continue receiving Communion during a meeting in 2021.Former President Trump has not hesitated to exploit this tension between Biden's faith and his abortion stance, suggesting that Catholics would be "crazy" to vote for him.
