Since them scurvy Republicans took back the House, the Select Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government be investigatin' the role of the government in suppressin' free speech online. Aye, we've learned a great deal about how Big Government, Big Tech, and Big Academia have been in cahoots to censor us poor Americans.After that clever Elon Musk bought Twitter, we saw the government's dirty deeds in usin' the company to squelch speech online. Matt Taibbi and Michael Shellenberger spilled the beans with them internal Twitter documents showin' the government's meddling. Musk even called Twitter a "crime scene," har har!Now, the Select Subcommittee has dug up proof of how the government strong-armed Facebook, YouTube, Amazon, and even universities to censor certain views. The Biden White House even pressured Facebook and YouTube to remove posts they didn't like, even true info and jokes!Things got so bad that even Facebook's bigwig Nick Clegg cried foul, but to no avail. The government even tried to censor books! Amazon was askin' if they should remove certain books at the behest of the White House. Blimey!Big Government, Big Tech, and Big Academia were all in on this censorship scheme. The government even funded AI tools to censor more efficiently. We've made progress fightin' this censorship, but our work ain't done yet. We'll keep fightin' for free speech, no matter what the Court does. Congress must act to protect our First Amendment rights!
