Some brave journalists were even thrown in the brig or made to pay a king's ransom for reporting on corruption.Two brave souls in Togo got hit with a three-year stay in the brig for callin' out a minister's dirty dealings, but they jumped ship and escaped the clutches of the law. The human rights group even heard tales of prisoners being tortured or mistreated.The whole place be like a powder keg, with the same scallywag family ruling for almost 60 years. They be delaying the elections and locking up anyone who speaks out against them.
