Arrr, me hearties! Cap'n Roberts be sayin' that the jawin' at the Supreme Court be mighty important, but ye can't always trust yer ears! Them arguments be like a treacherous sea - full o' twists 'n turns 'n surprises! Avast, me mateys!

Arrr, me hearties! Last week, Chief Justice John Roberts be talkin' about the importance of oral arguments at the Supreme Court, but he be warnin' us that they be not always what they seem. Aye, 'tis true that these verbal jousts be crucial in helpin' the justices understand the cases before 'em, but they be just the tip of the iceberg, me mateys.
Roberts be explainin' that much of the real work be done behind closed doors, as the justices readin' through briefs and discussin' the cases amongst themselves. The oral arguments be just a chance for the lawyers to make their cases in person and for the justices to ask some questions. But don't be fooled, lads and lasses!
So next time ye be watchin' a Supreme Court oral argument, remember that there be more goin' on than meets the eye. And if ye ever find yerself standin' before the high court, make sure ye be prepared to defend yer case with all ye got, for those justices be no pushovers. Arrr!
