The poor soul, a 65-year-old sea dog, was on a 28-foot boat when the beast attacked, according to Petty Officer 3rd Class Vincent Moreno.Thank the heavens, a brave passenger on the boat quickly tied a tourniquet to stop the bleeding until the Coast Guardsmen arrived, yarrr! The Charleston Harbor Marine Police then assessed the man's injuries and guided the boat to meet EMS at Tad Street next to Coast Guard Station Charleston.The injured buccaneer was taken to the Medical University of South Carolina for further treatment by EMS. His condition remains a mystery as of Friday night, me hearties! Let's hope the old salt makes a swift recovery and steers clear of them pesky sharks next time he sets sail on the briny deep!
