Ye scurvy Illinois Democrats be thinkin' they can wave their wand and banish crime in Chicago! Har har har!

Arrr! Every scallywag I've met on the streets or in me chapel be a law-breaker! They be knowin' the rules, yet they still be walkin' the plank. Aye, they be pushin' their luck!
Illinois politicians are at it again, trying to work their magic to fix the crime problem in Chicago. They plan to rename "offenders" as "justice-impacted individuals" under House Bill 4409 to make criminals seem like victims rather than perpetrators. As a pastor in the Woodlawn neighborhood for 20 years, I know this is just more leftist foolishness. For decades, liberal policies have failed my community, from welfare programs that broke up families to failing schools that produce illiterate students. The recent decision to close high-performing schools in the name of equity is just another example of misguided efforts.Politicians sprinkle their magic dust of empty words to distract us from their failures, refusing to see the people in my neighborhood as fully human. Calling criminals "justice-impacted individuals" is dehumanizing and ignores the reality of their actions.I believe in reforming criminals by helping them reconnect with their humanity and showing them new pathways in life. While not everyone succeeds, I have witnessed many individuals transform into law-abiding citizens. This work is challenging, but it is necessary, and no amount of liberal magic can substitute for the true human work needed in my community.Follow along as I continue this important work in the Woodlawn neighborhood with Project H.O.O.D.
