As Black Americans be celebratin' Juneteenth with their mates, kin, an' loved ones, we be hoistin' a tankard to the grand achievement that could only be possible in our fair homeland.Ye see, Juneteenth – sometimes dubbed "America’s second Independence Day" – marks the moment when Union troops sailed into Galveston, Texas, and finally set free the last o' the enslaved Black Americans from their chains o' servitude.Every stride towards liberty should be cheered in every generation, decade, and age. Some scallywags be wonderin' why Juneteenth be needed and claim it stirs up old wounds. Nay, me hearties!
