Researchers, brave as any sea dog, stumbled upon a treasure trove of over 100 ancient glass trinkets in the murky waters of Bulgaria's Chengene Skele Bay! Aye, led by the learned Professor Ivan Histrov, these landlubbers dived into history and pulled up the spoils o' the past, dating back to the late 16th and early 17th centuries.

These shiny baubles be part of a grand collection, adding to the 310 glass vessels unearthed in previous years. Believed to hail from the famed Venetian isle of Murano, where fine glass be crafted, these vessels might’ve found their way to Davy Jones’ locker on a ship caught in a tempest!

Discovered at depths o' 2 to 2.5 meters, the treasures be a fine reminder of the sprawling trade and consumption of glass in the Balkans during the Late Ottoman Period.
