Gather 'round fer the tale of a wee gorilla, Zeytin by name, who be rescued from a cargo hold aboard a flying beast o' Turkish Airlines, flyin' from the land of Nigeria to the faraway shores of Thailand! Now this sprightly lad, just five moons old, be recoverin' at a zoo in Istanbul, where the fine folk be ponderin' whether to send him back to the wild seas of his homeland.The scallywags at the Istanbul Nature Conservation be hopin' Zeytin can once more swing through the trees of Africa, but they be makin' sure the lad’s new abode be as safe as a treasure chest guarded by the fiercest of pirates! When Zeytin first set foot on land, he was shyer than a timid cabin boy, but now he be playin' games like a jolly sailor on shore leave!
Both Western and Eastern gorillas be as rare as a pirate’s gold, classified as endangered by those savvy folks at the International Union for Conservation of Nature. Alas, as Istanbul rises to become a bustling air hub, customs folk be catchin’ more critters bein’ smuggled than a pirate nabs doubloons!
