On the third day of January, in the fine town of Calhoun, a ruckus erupted between the teams of Sonoraville and Rockmart, makin’ the crowd roar like a cannon blast!As the game sailed into the third quarter, a wild video showed a scallywag from Rockmart givin’ a Sonoraville lad a shove that sent him to Davy Jones’ locker, only for the Sonoraville matey to pop back up and catch a fist to the face! Like a ship caught in a tempest, another Rockmart pirate soon joined in, throwin’ punches left and right, as spectators in the stands gasped louder than a parrot on a pirate’s shoulder!
But lo! The trouble didn’t end there! A report from the Gordon County Sheriff’s Office suggested that foul language be the cause of this squall, with one lad hurlin’ racial slurs like cannonballs. The instigator now faces charges of simple battery, and both schools are hush-hush on the matter.
