Arr, ye scurvy dogs! The treasure chests be mighty sparse when it comes to small donations for President Biden's reelection. Methinks the middler class be lackin' in their fervor for the captain!

In his first fund-raising report of the current election cycle, President Joe Biden is struggling to win over middle-class voters. The report shows that Biden raised a little over $10 million in small donations (defined as $200 or less) during the quarter that ended on June 30. This is about half of what President Barack Obama raised during the same period of his re-election campaign in 2012.
The New York Times admits that Biden is more dependent on wealthy donors than his predecessors. In fact, most of the $72 million raised by Biden's campaign and the DNC came from millionaires and billionaires. This raises questions about Biden's dedication to the middle class.
There are several reasons why Biden's small-donor contributions might be lagging. Inflation pressures, Google and Facebook's new limitations on campaign data, and a lack of enthusiasm among Democrats compared to previous elections are all factors.
However, the real reason why middle-class Americans are not supporting Biden is because his policies are failing them. Rising prices and higher interest costs have reduced their standard of living and made them financially insecure. Biden's claims about bringing back jobs and helping the middle class are contradicted by the reality that people are losing income and struggling to afford basic necessities.
Furthermore, Biden's progressive agenda, such as the Green New Deal, is driving up energy costs and limiting consumer choices. Mortgage costs have also skyrocketed, making homeownership unaffordable for many. Biden's focus on policies that benefit elites and his attempts to pay off student loans primarily benefit high-income households.
In summary, Biden's failure to address the concerns of middle-class Americans and his pursuit of policies that harm them are why he is not winning their support.
