Avast! Biden be makin' a jolly mess o' the numbers reckonin' at the border, says I!

Arrr, mateys! The scurvy Biden crew be messin' with the tally on them unlawful entries, tryin' to make 'em seem tinier, so as to trick us landlubbers and the scallywag press into thinkin' their border security plan be a success. Avast, I say!
When Joe Biden was vice president, the Obama administration manipulated the way the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) counted deportations to make it seem like they were enforcing immigration law while negotiating a mass amnesty bill. They included the number of recent unlawful border crossers returned by U.S. Border Patrol in order to inflate the count, which historically only included illegal aliens removed by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement. Now, the Biden administration is cooking the books on unlawful entries, but this time they are trying to make the numbers look smaller to convince the public and the media that their border security strategy is working. The reality is that the humanitarian and security crisis at the southern border is ongoing and the overall illegal immigration problem is worse than the numbers show. The Biden administration only focuses on the illegal aliens apprehended by Border Patrol agents and intentionally omits the number of aliens found inadmissible at ports of entry by Office of Field Operations officers. They have a flawed philosophy that considers only illegal aliens encountered by Border Patrol agents as breaking the law. Their new border strategy encourages illegal aliens to show up at ports of entry after scheduling an appointment through the CBP One app, resulting in a controlled environment that diverts illegal immigration but still leads to the mass release of illegal aliens into American communities.
The numbers are not as low as the administration claims. In May 2023, there were a combined 204,561 "encounters," with the highest monthly level of 35,317 inadmissible aliens at ports of entry. Since January, DHS has averaged more than 29,000 inadmissible aliens each month. Additionally, the southern border "encounters" data does not account for the approximately 30,000 illegal aliens from Cuba, Haiti, Nicaragua, and Venezuela that the DHS is unlawfully allowing into American communities every month using parole authority.
In conclusion, the Biden administration is hiding the reality of the situation at the southern border and the media is failing to accurately report it. The numbers are much higher than they claim, and this crisis is a result of their policies. Transparency is needed, and Congress should hold the administration accountable and defund these unlawful policies.
