Arrr, ye wouldn’t believe it! Gounsa temple be turned to ashes by fiery beasts, blowin' like a drunken sailor!

Arrr, matey! In the southern seas o’ Korea, fierce flames be claimin’ 24 souls and turnin’ over 300 fine structures to ash, includin’ bits o’ a grand ol’ Buddhist temple! Aye, even the spirits be shiverin’ in their sandals! Fire and fury be a treacherous crew, indeed!
Avast ye landlubbers! A tempest o' wildfires be ravagin’ the southern shores of South Korea, layin’ waste to a grand Buddhist temple, turnin’ it into naught but a bonfire of history! Aye, two national treasures be burnt to cinders, leavin’ many a heart heavy with sorrow. As the flames danced for five days, they claimed 24 souls and left over 300 fine structures in ruin, sendin’ a fleet of 28,000 landlubbers fleein' fer safety! The Gounsa temple, built in the year 681 A.D. under the watchful eye of the Shilla dynasty, now finds itself in a right pickle, with strong winds fanin' the flames to a fever pitch. Nearly two-thirds of its glorious buildings, includin’ the revered Gaunru pavilion and the Yeonsujeon shrine, now smolder like a forgotten treasure chest lost at sea.
Our old matey Doryun, a monk of the temple, lamented the loss, feelin’ emptier than a ship without a crew. Luckily, they managed to save a sacred stone Buddha, built in the 8th century, from the fiery doom! Though many treasures lay in ruin, at least some artifacts remain intact — a glimmer of hope in these dark times. Arrr, may our spirits stay as strong as the tides!
