Arr, mateys! The crisis of fatherhood in America be worsenin' faster than a ship sinkin'! President Biden's southern border be in utter chaos, makin' things even worse. It be a stormy sea we be sailin' on, me hearties!
Our nation is facing a serious fatherhood crisis as there are over 18 million fatherless children in America. This crisis has detrimental effects on our society, leading to lawless homes, poverty, and increased violent crimes. As someone who has been actively working against this crisis, I recently assisted in passing a comprehensive fatherhood bill in Florida. However, this crisis has worsened dramatically due to the southern border crisis, which has descended into chaos.The fatherlessness crisis in our country is directly correlated to the current situation at the border. Millions of children already live in fatherless homes, and the influx of unaccompanied migrant children pouring into impoverished areas is further exacerbating this issue. Since the Biden administration took office, we have witnessed the highest number of unaccompanied children crossing the border in American history.
The administration has completely neglected its border security role, allowing criminals and illegal aliens to enter the country without monitoring their whereabouts. They have reinstated a catch and release policy, welcoming unvetted individuals from around the world. This negligence has turned every town in America into a border town, further impacting the fatherlessness crisis.
The open border policies have created a humanitarian crisis, encouraging people to rely on callous organized crime cartels for smuggling. The majority of migrants face physical and sexual assault during their journey, with young girls forced to carry the morning-after pill due to the high likelihood of rape. Shockingly, over 396,000 unaccompanied children have been trafficked or smuggled across the border since President Biden took office, and the administration has lost contact with at least 85,000 of them.
These vulnerable children often become victims of exploitation, forced labor, and human trafficking. The current policies incentivize criminals to abuse children, and the lowered vetting standards for sponsors worsen the situation. Despite the mass illegal migration, this administration has removed the fewest illegal and criminal aliens in recent history, reflecting their lack of interest in enforcing our nation's laws.
As a Christian, it is my duty to protect these vulnerable children and adhere to the commandments of giving justice to the weak and fatherless. We must strive to rescue and deliver them from the hands of the wicked.
