Arrr! Word be sailin' through the grapevine that the lass be thinkin' her dear mother was spottin' alongside that scurvy dog Rex Heuermann, known fer his misdeeds at Gilgo Beach, afore she disappeared in 2017. Avast!

A woman from South Carolina who went missing six years ago was last seen with Rex Heuermann, a suspect in the Gilgo Beach murder case, according to her daughter. Julia Ann Bean was reported missing in November 2017 at the age of 37. She was last seen on May 31, 2017, with a man her family did not know at the time. When Bean's daughter saw Heuermann on the news, she immediately recognized him as the last man she saw her mother with. Heuermann had reportedly introduced himself with a different name at Bean's daughter's high school graduation, which was the last time their family saw Bean. Heuermann's dark Chevrolet Avalanche was a key piece of evidence in the Gilgo Beach case. Investigators from various police departments are investigating the potential connection between Heuermann and other cold cases. Bean's daughter was not aware of Heuermann until a family friend pointed out the similarities between her mother and the women he allegedly killed. Heuermann has been charged in the murders of three of the so-called "Gilgo Beach 4" victims and is the prime suspect in the fourth murder. He allegedly lived a double life, appearing as a successful businessman and devoted family man by day, but allegedly terrorizing sex workers and their families by night. Heuermann's wife filed for divorce after his arrest, and police found a significant amount of evidence, including a vault, guns, and other items, at their home. Heuermann faces life in prison without parole if convicted and is still under investigation in other unsolved murder cases.
