2023-09-03

Arrr, Coach Joe Kennedy, who set foot upon the football field on the first day of September in the year 2023, did converse with Fox News Digital 'bout his future endeavours in life, and shared that he and his fair wife be fervently "praying" for guidance, as if seekin' a treasure map for direction.

First on Fox: Coach Joe Kennedy, the assistant football coach in Bremerton, Washington, is considering his next move after his recent Supreme Court victory and reinstatement to his coaching position. In an interview with Fox News Digital, Kennedy revealed that he and his wife are prayerfully considering entering the ministry. They have been traveling around the United States speaking at different events and have noticed that people are hungry for inspiration. Kennedy acknowledges the support he received from millions of Americans during his legal battle and believes that it was a First Amendment and religious issue that resonated with people of all faiths.

Kennedy lost his job in 2015 because of his practice of saying a silent prayer on the 50-yard line after games. His case became a cultural and constitutional battle that reached the Supreme Court. The court ruled in his favor in 2022, and he was officially reinstated in March 2023. True to his promise, Kennedy took a knee and gave thanks to God during his first game back. Now, he is contemplating his next career move and has discussed doing missionary work with his wife. He believes that their experiences traveling the world while he was in the Marines have given them a unique perspective, and he wants to work for God and help others.

Kennedy also mentioned that he and his wife want to support and help people in marriages and with young people who are struggling with mental health. He believes that their marriage has become stronger through their legal battles and wants to use their experience to inspire others. Kennedy acknowledges that they are still navigating their next steps but have mentors helping them along the way. He plans to keep everyone informed and hopes to share his decision with Fox News Digital once it is made. In the meantime, Kennedy is temporarily staying in Bremerton, Washington, while working with the football team. His new book, "Average Joe: The Coach Joe Kennedy Story," will be published in October 2023.
