A Florida elementary school math teacher, Maria Cruz de la Cruz, was shot and killed in a murder-suicide outside Miami. The incident occurred at a home in Palmetto Estates, south of Miami, and another victim was also injured. Cruz had worked at Doral Academy K-8 Charter for nearly a decade.
