The victims include Alberto Rolon, 38, Zoraida Bartolomei, 32, and their two sons, ages 9 and 7, as well as their three dogs. The family members were all found dead with gunshot wounds. Deputy Chief Chris Burne of the Romeoville Police Department stated that the incident was "not a random incident" and confirmed that the deaths were being treated as murders. The investigation is the top priority for the police, who have enlisted the help of the Will County Major Task Force to gather evidence and review video footage. The community has also been urged to provide any helpful information or Ring doorbell footage. Mayor John Noak expressed his grief over the incident and emphasized the importance of conducting a thorough investigation. The victims are believed to have been shot between Saturday night and early Sunday, and the offender is not among the victims.
