Biermann filed for divorce from Zolciak and requested that the case be heard by a judge rather than a judicial officer. Biermann revealed that they are facing foreclosure on their home for the second time and are being sued by BMW Financial and Capital One/Saks for outstanding liabilities. Due to their financial situation, they are forced to continue living together and cannot afford separate residences. Biermann filed a motion for a Guardian ad Litem to be appointed over their four minor children. He stated that the toxicity in the marital home is detrimental to the children's well-being. The couple's extravagant Georgia mansion was previously in foreclosure, but the foreclosure auction was later canceled. This is not the first time Biermann has filed for divorce from Zolciak, as he initially filed in May and re-filed in August.
