Democrat John Fetterman is being criticized for his lack of professionalism and the lowering of standards in our society. Fetterman, who was elected to the Senate last year, is known for his casual attire, often wearing hoodies and gym shorts. Majority Leader Chuck Schumer even relaxed the Senate's dress code to accommodate Fetterman's slovenly appearance. This is just one example of the dumbing down of expectations that is plaguing our nation.The problem extends beyond just Fetterman's wardrobe. Across the country, standards are being lowered in the name of equity and racial justice. Educators are ditching tests and grades, allowing cheating and skipping homework to go unpunished in order to address racial disparities in pass/fail rates. This has led to increased lawlessness on the streets and a disregard for the successes of "broken windows" policing.
