Yarrr! Be it known that a 23-year-old scallywag stands accused of a dastardly hit-and-run, related to the untimely demise of a fine young lass named Mia Kanu, a student of higher learnin'. In the land of Southfield, Michigan, trouble brews!

Thar be some news from the land of Michigan, where a 23-year-old lass named Kenita Monique Fearn be facin' charges in connection with the mysterious death of another 23-year-old lass named Mia Kanu. Aye, Kanu was left for dead on the side o' the road in front of an apartment complex in Southfield, after a party in the wee hours o' the mornin' on June 3.The law be sayin' that anyone involved in an accident must stop and report it to the authorities, especially if someone be seriously injured or dead. Fearn, however, did not heed this call and allegedly fled the scene. It be said that Fearn was drivin' a vehicle while intoxicated, with Kanu aboard. The poor lass apparently decided to make a jump for it, resultin' in her untimely demise. The whole incident be caught on surveillance camera, so there be no hidin' from the truth.
The cause o' death still be unknown, and the authorities be considerin' all possibilities, includin' homicide. But no evidence has been released to suggest that Kanu was forced out o' the vehicle. A kind passerby found her lyin' on the side o' the road and called for help.
Now Fearn be in custody and is set to be arraigned soon. If convicted of leavin' the scene, she could face up to five years in the brig and a fine as high as $5,000. And for operatin' a vehicle while intoxicated, she could be slapped with a misdemeanor, which carries a maximum sentence of 93 days and a fine of up to $500.
