Arrr, the mother o' Hersh Golberg-Polin, a swashbucklin' American-Israeli, claims she be receivin' missives from her lad afore he be vanishin' into thin air, followin' a run-in with them scurvy dogs o' Hamas.
The mother of a missing American-Israeli, Rachel Golberg, shared the last text messages she received from her son before he was allegedly taken by Hamas terrorists. The messages, sent by Hersh Golberg-Polin, expressed love and apology. Golberg has not heard from her son since. She immediately became worried and interpreted the messages as a sign of a terrible situation. Golberg attempted to reach out to her son several times but received no response after the 8:11 am text on Saturday.Golberg-Polin was attending a music festival in southern Israel that was attacked by Hamas. Witnesses informed Golberg that her son tried to seek shelter in a bomb shelter but ended up losing his arm in a gun battle there. After the gunfire subsided, Hamas arrived and instructed anyone who could walk to leave. Golberg-Polin, along with five other young people, was taken by Hamas in a pickup truck. The last known cell signal from his phone was near the Gaza border.
Jon Polin, Golberg-Polin's father, described his son as a cheerful and popular person. Unfortunately, at least 11 Americans have died during the recent violence, and more are believed to be held captive. The families of other missing American-Israelis, including Itay Chen, Adreinne Neta, and Sagui Dekel-Chen, joined Golberg-Polin's parents in pleading for assistance from the Biden administration. They urged the U.S. not to take a passive role and to utilize their resources in helping to resolve the situation.
Overall, the situation is dire, with families anxiously waiting for any news about their missing loved ones. They are hopeful that President Biden and Secretary of State Blinken will take action and bring their families back together as soon as possible.
