American university campuses have become hotspots for these outbreaks, with demonstrations justifying the attacks and blaming Israel for the conflict. Student organizations at prestigious institutions like Harvard, Columbia, Northwestern, Yale, and more have condemned Israel and accused it of colonial retaliation. These protests often extend beyond anti-Israel sentiments and turn into anti-Jewish sentiments as well.The author recalls a conversation with politically progressive Jewish friends who were puzzled by their children's hostility towards Israel after attending American colleges. The prevalence of anti-Israel and anti-Jewish biases in universities is due to the promotion of leftist ideologies that demonize Israel and Jews. These theories portray Israelis as extremists and rationalize retaliation against them. The BDS movement has played a role in advocating for this viewpoint. Additionally, universities often imbibe an anti-Western bias and view Judeo-Christian values as oppressive.
